Organic cotton voile is a fluid, supple fabric. Its natural fibers contain no harmful substances and meet European environmental and public health standards. Natural cotton fibers may have slight irregularities, such as variations in thickness or occasional shedding in thicker sections. These imperfections are normal and are a sign of authenticity.

All our furoshiki come with a Certificate of Authenticity with serial number. They come in a special origami box made of 100% recyclable and compostable cardboard and they are wrapped in tissue paper for protection. We have opted for minimalist packaging without our logo printed on it to facilitate recycling.

About Furoshiki

Furoshiki (風呂敷) is a type of cloth that originated in Japan during the Nara period (719 B.C.). The name furoshiki is a combination of two words, 'furo' meaning 'bath' and 'shiki' meaning 'to spread'. It is a versatile cloth that can be used for gift wrapping, fashion, or transporting items. The Ministry of the Environment in Japan has published a document online that compiles various techniques for wrapping objects with a furoshiki.
