STORY
From her native Mexico, Isis Ascobereta inherited a taste for color and the dynamism of big cities. In France, where she has lived for more than two decades, she has discovered new sources of cultural and artistic inspiration.
Guided by her aesthetic sensibility and her desire to tell the story of the world around her, she has always been close to the art world, first through her studies in Comparative Literature and then through her discovery of photography, which has become her preferred means of expression.
Her visual language has established a close dialogue with abstraction, nature and objects, positioning her in the realm of fine art photography.
Her photographs invite us to contemplate visual universes that poetically reinterpret our immediate reality.
WEARING PHOTOGRAPHY
Explore the materiality of photography on a medium other than paper to make it ethereal.
Take the worlds depicted in the images out of their frames and touch them.
Feel closer to the colors and materials that the photographs evoke.

Isis Ascobereta conceived Wearing Photography as an encounter between the frozen image and the freedom of the fabric. It’s a combination that marks the beginning of an artistic project driven by a desire to expand the visual narrative power of photography and to present her work as an artist in a new manner. An innovative way to offer a collection of art objects for lovers of unique works.
THE FIRST COLLECTION
For the launch of Wearing Photography, Isis Ascobereta presents a first collection of silk scarves and cotton furoshiki. The former seduces with its timeless, classic heritage; the latter comes from Japan, where it was traditionally used to wrap precious objects. Made from fine materials, they are designed to last and become an integral part of your everyday life.
The collection highlights the Mediterranean. The remarkable landscapes and vegetation of Corsica and Sicily inspired Isis Ascobereta during her successive stays. Three photographs from her archives bear witness to these privileged moments of contact with nature.
Wearing Photography offers a curated collection of sustainable and responsible objects.

Objects of Art
Fine, natural materials such as silk and cotton voile offer a different rendering of the photograph than paper, enhancing the details and colors of each print.
Original pieces designed to be worn or framed.
Exclusive collection
Each collection reflects the desire to offer unique pieces in limited editions of no more than 15.
Each scarf and furoshiki is numbered and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
Made in France
French savoir-faire is highlighted in every detail. The printing was done by a workshop in Angers, while sewing was carried out in Lyon by a seamstress specialized in hand-rolling.
This attention to detail accentuates the innate elegance of a silk scarf and the natural charm of a furoshiki.
